(2) Casual Family Wellness Worker Positions

Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. (PBCFSI) is accepting applications for Two (2) Casual Family Wellness Worker for the Deschambault Lake Family Wellness Centre.

The Family Wellness Worker is required:

1. To carry out the functions, requirements, or terms of the wellness plan designed by the Family Wellness Supervisor.
2. To perform day to day childcare functions, including basic parenting duties such as providing the families with safe, nurturing, and structured living environment, transmitting appropriate values, and meeting the families’ emotional and physical needs.
3. To transport children/parents to appointments, school, trips, etc.

Qualifications:        

1. Certificate of Social Work or equivalent training with and/or experience in the Child & Family Services area and/or related field.
2. Minimum Grade 12 or GED 12.

1. Mature, Stable and Reliable.

4. Commitment to helping families.
5. Willingness to participate in training & travel when required.
6. Willingness to do shift work including weekends and statutory holidays.
7. Excellent written, oral communication and public speaking skills.
8. Leads a healthy lifestyle.
9. Knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture and language.
10. Persons of First Nation’s Ancestry are encouraged to apply.
11. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
12. An operating telephone.
13. Employment will be determined based on a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
