Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is accepting applications for One (1) Full Time Prevention Case Management Worker for the PBCFSI office in Southend, SK.

 

General Duties:

The Prevention Case Management Worker is responsible for maintaining prevention case files as well as providing support in coordinating and providing a continuum of services to PBCN communities in accordance with policies and as mandated by the Board of Directors as well as the following:

-Developing and implementing questionnaires, needs assessments, evaluation forms and interviews to systematically gather information for the purpose of feedback and guidance for developing future programming

  • Maintaining an appropriate records and filing system
  • Providing coverage to Prevention Service Workers to ensure a continuum of Prevention Programing and services
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all client-related material in reception and filing areas
  • Assisting in developing prevention programs in consultation with the Prevention Manager & Program Supervisor
  • Assisting in providing family support services, including crisis intervention, one-on-one and group counseling, referrals, arranging assessment and treatment services, arranging parent aide services and child care services and voluntary placement services

Qualifications

  1. BSW or BSIW, or a certificate in social work with three years of related child and family services agency experience.
  2. Maturity and stability.
  3. Leads a healthy lifestyle.
  4. Commitment to working with families.
  5. Willingness to participate in on-going training.
  6. Willingness to learn and work with high risk and special needs children.
  7. Knowledge of Woodland Cree language, culture and the political and social objectives of PBCN First Nation.
  8. Persons of First Nation’s Ancestry are encouraged to apply.
  9. Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
